Some colors remind us of past experiences; some perk up our energy and creativity and some make us feel lazy and bored. Repainting rooms in colors you love is a great way to change how you feel about a room and in Feng Shui terms... can ignite your life. Below are some general Feng Shui principles on how color can affect us: 1. Red: a strong color that is great to rev you up and keep you going. A good color for a dining room to keep guests perky and excited. Not a good color for the bedroom unless you desire lots and lots of passion. ;-) 2. Orange: a happy color that is refreshing and revitalizing. Good for kitchens and family rooms. When using bright colors always pair with softer shades to balance the energy. 3. Yellow: another happy color that brings creativity and vitality. Especially nice for kitchens and ofices where creativity is needed. Also good for guest rooms if you do not want the guests to overstay their welcome. 4. Green: a healing and calming color. Great for living rooms and bedrooms.
